Intelligence

International Women’s Day was yesterday and its theme this year has been #ChooseToChallenge

So why are we carrying on for one more day? Because these challenges don’t end on the 9th of March

This is the last episode of the series, but it is a reminder to keep challenging stereotypes, recognising and changing our biases, and moving forward for a better world for ourselves and the women to come.

This conversation discusses intelligence with Linette. This topic has a lot of parallels to physical strength but just the same, we need to stop being worried about intimidating people without intelligence and get it out there in whatever form it takes!

Don’t forget to check out the photos of Linette on this theme on Instagram @suzanne.was.here.

Age

March 8th is International Women’s Day and this year is all about #ChooseToChallenge

This conversation is on Age discrimination. As most things are, it tends to be worse for women - but Sandra will be damned if she’s going to let that keep her down.

As one of the most infectiously wonderful people you’ll come across, Sandra discusses these topics with me from looks to sexuality, money, tradition, and more! We start serious but make sure you come along for the whole ride.

Make sure you don’t miss the photos of Sandra on my Instagram @suzanne.was.here

She nailed the stereotype almost as well as the ‘true her’ shot!

This year, International Women's Day is all about #ChooseToChallenge

If you're Australia, you know the terrible history of our country, but for Aboriginal women, it was even worse because once upon a time.... they were already equal and this has since been stripped.

Leadership

International Women’s Day 2021 is all about #ChooseToChallenge

Equal female leadership is one of the biggest steps we can take towards equality for all women - representation is so important!

But in this conversation, we discuss more than that. We discuss the assumptions made about women who are in leadership, some of the barriers women face in getting into leadership roles, and the everyday acts of leadership we can do whether we want to climb the ladder structure laid or out not.

Make sure you check out the photo installation of Jess for #ChooseToChallenge leadership in Instagram @suzanne.was.here

Victimisation

noun: victimisation

The action of singling someone out for cruel or unjust treatment.

This is a word that has become a point of shame for victims more than the people who are treating them this way - we need to change that. While the numbers of women who have been abused (physically or emotionally) are staggering, women are not defined by the things that have happened to them.

Hear Chloe's story and her path beyond the emotionally abusive relationship she experienced, in this conversation.

Child-Free

International Women’s Day 2021 is all about #ChooseToChallenge

As it becomes increasingly common for women to be child-free or childless in our society, how are we treating these women as other-than and what can we do to challenge these behaviours, unconscious biases and recognise that these circumstances or choices don't define these women.
